Hi all,
I just wondering about the gear linkage on my 1977 z1000, I have just refitted this, on my on going rebuild, and with cover on, the shaft can move in/out maybe couple mm, I cannot recall if it was like this beforehand, , it is all fitted correctly, so is this normal, or have I miss something..

All mine have that movement on the shaft Andy .
Gear changing doesn't seem affected by it .

Mine has a little movement works well
Perhaps the strip down and rebuild cleaned a lot if crap out of the way explaining the movement !
