DVLA question...

Anyone had experience with selling a frame with V5(C) without engine,
how does one go about selling the engine seperately, I mean if the buyer of
the frame registers the frame and stamps a donor engine with same numbers
on the original frame log book? The frame is a KZ1000 LTD B2 and has legit
numbers never been tampered with, as has the KZ1000 LTD B2 engine that is original with the frame legit numbers
without ever having been tampered with.
I want to sell the engine without any
hassle from the DVLA due to frame buyer potentially cheating with their own donor engine.

I think you're worrying about nowt jay. You're right in saying that the buyer of the frame could 'utilise' the engine number, but surely that would become a legal matter and the old bill can tell if they are original numbers or not.

PS you might be interested to look at some of the 'original' number stampings when you next see a group of old zeds  , I mean the style has changed over the years

Yeah the numbers are wild maaaan
(Norton paintwork styling rocks )

Thought I better sell the frame quick before (in case) DVLA
stop the selling of frames without engine's

Don't worry about it jay, about 20+years ago the dvla stated that sellers couldnt sell frame wlb. That lasted 'seconds', they just stopped advertising frame wlb. This was supposed to stop people 'ringing' them, mmmm, don't think that worked.
