hello gents finally got round to replacing the fork bushes and seals on my gpz1100 a1 and there still seems to be slight side to side play in the fork tubes. the bushes are genuine kawasaki ones and the seals are ariete ones not tried filling with oil yet as did'nt want to waste it if they leaked could anyone tell me if the play is normal or have i done something wrong.
many thanks in advance john.

On my uni-trak 1100 A2 , i have, very slight play forward and backwards if you take the weight off the front wheel and pull and push the bottom of the forks ! not ideal but it has been like it for the last 2000 miles and is not getting any worse ..
I know that the fork legs can become worn ? so just replacing the bushes may not cure it ?
I would put the front end back on with wheel and then re-check ?

have you installed the bushes correctly. the gap in the bushes should face left & right. top bush gap to the left bottom bush to the right

shouldn't make any difference to the play in the forks its only fitted to make up clearance between the cir clip & the fork seal. you could fit an after market seal with a thicker seal as long as the internal & external diameters are the same
