Anyone got...

A) A tape measure
B) A Magnum 2 with an 18" front wheel and Marzocchi forks
C) Time to measure from the top of the fork to the axle centre?

TVM.

Thanks but it's really a Harris Magnum 2 I need the info for.

My new project (which will get a thread in the Projects section but at the moment it's all scheming and planning with nothing physical happening) has got a 16" GPz900R front wheel which I'd like to replace with an 18 or 17" jobbie so I can fit decent rubber (16" BT45's are OK but I'd prefer something stickier).

My forks measure ~840mm from top to axle and I suspect they've been built with long stanchions for the 16" wheel as the clipons are above the top yoke.

I have but it's in bits at the moment :(

Marzocchi forks with 18" Astralite. Avon tyre. It's all in bits and at Griff's for refurb.

Long shot but ask Harris directly.

Don't suppose Griff has a tape measure by any chance? :)

I've emailed Harris... wonder if their customer service extends to bikes made 26 years ago that've been through half a dozen owners?

How accurate do you need it? The stanchions are here. Not sure how much extra the assembled leg would add.

Straight from the horses mouth, Lester Harris told me the chassis were designed for 29 ½ inch length forks with the 18â€￾ wheels and 45mm offset on the yokes.
I also have some of those m1r forks but they are stripped I could tell you the length of the chrome tubes though. If that is any use.
