would you patch up a holed inner tube or just buy a new one..the ones new but nicked it putting tyre back on..

Having had a tube blow out (RD350 on the A10 - veered wildly over both lanes and the hard shoulder but somehow kept it upright; thanked the Gods there was no other traffic around me) I would never consider a tube repair as anything more than a 'get you home' measure.
Inner tubes are not expensive compared to the cost of the bike going down the road on it's side and a truck running over your head !
