forks.stansion replacement

me again,,ive got new stansions..[fork]..ive removed the oil the spring ..the allen key at the bottem just spins,,struggling now.advice please to remove stansions..z900

do I need a special tool

there is a special tool but if you re assemble the forks & use a windy/air gun it should come out if you haven't got one your local car or bike garage will do it for you for a drink

Whittle a point on the end of a broom handle - and whack it down (inside) the stanchion to hold the damper still - gives you a good chance
As mentioned, a windy gun usually works OK too

dont forget to remove the damper valve's from the old fork tube as the new replacement tubes do not come with them fitted
number 27 & 28 & the parts above them in the oblong box in the exploded view have to be removed
