Hi i need some help. Finished putting all my brakes back together and decided this morning to bleed them. Wish i hadn't.
Master cylinder leaking where the plastic meets the biody. tried to get the body off and it just keeps turning and will not undo. to be honest the pastic part is trash now. how should it come off?

The metal pipes i had all the trouble with leak, well one side definately did. And when i losen the bleed niples the fluid comes out through the threads.

i want to keep the traditional look and keep as many original parts as possible. any advise?

Hi Wayne this bike is typical of all these old Zeds but worth the effort in the long run,i have an original master cylinder complete, off my A4 after i changed her to double disc is yours the single disc? Pm me if interested, sounds like your bleed nipples are shot and need replacing,Zed power do replacement metal brake lines woild advise all hoses etc are changed as they tend to degrade with age its important to get these right as braking on these bikes is marginal at best....PaulJ

Hi Paul

Thanks for the offer, mine is the double disc so not sure if your cyliber will work.

I changed most parts but i will have to get some new nipples. all hoses are new but the metal pipes to the callipers have been a mare from the start.

Look at this link Mate
http://www.z1ownersclub.co.uk/forum/vie ... ht=#254818

Its an 8mm ring spanner that is split so you can get it over the brake pipe, special brake pipe spanner trouble is with an open ended spanner they slip and damage the nut,the cylinder on Silvers site sre for the Cb750 F2 but they are indentical to The Kwak ones Zed power and e bay vendors sell at a cheaper price...PaulJ
