Rim widths

#1 PostAuthor: Markw » Sun Apr 20, 2014 3:39 pm

Just back from the states and combatting jet lag by considering wheel options .
As the bike (z1000/77) has spoke wheels I and going to have the wheels converted to 17 and widened .
Jmc arm is present and the question is what size can I go to rim and tyre front and back , obviously know I need an offset front sprocket but even these are available in more than one size I believe .
An often asked question for old hands I am sure , but searched the busts and couldn't find definitive answers ..

Some JMCs were made to order so could be difficult to suggest mas=x width sizes.

I think 130 was max fo std parts but a 'normal' JMC should be able to take a 150.

( I reserve the right to be completely wrong about all that though :P )
