I am working on the left hand switch gear of my Z1A.
I removed the switch gear from the handle bars while at the other end of the switch gear is the plastic connector block which the wires are running into.

When I disconnected the blocks from each other the one connected to the switch gear crumbled in my hand and pieces broke away.

I had a look at the block with the view to removing the electrical wires but I could not remove them. My question is can I purchase a spare block and is it possible to remove the wires from the old block and put them into a new electrical block.

I have tried to remove the wires from the block but there is not movement and it appears like they cannot be removed. Anyone got any ideas or what I can do.

Probably not, as I think they click in on a tab that's near impossible to release.
You might need to buy some of these

I'm no expert, so someone who is might give you better info!

Kev, those blocks do come apart. They have a little tang that locks the connector into the block. Evidently, age and heat have made the block brittle.
Someone will know where to get new blocks & connectors in UK.

You can replace the blocks with individual bullet connectors. Stagger them otherwise they become very bulky.

here you can see the barb / tang on the flat part of the terminal you need to press this barb down flat with a small electrical screwdriver to release it from the block connector

dont go individual connectors they look shite,get the mini block connectors from vehicle wiring products,they do them with different amounts of connections,single,double etc upto maybe 10 so there should be something to suit your application.Its easy to do,just take you time and use a decent set of terminal crimpers and away you go
