Can anyone tell me if I can buy a new speedometer clock/Unit for a
79 Z1000 ST or is my only option reconditioning :?:

you could.............

NOS - very very expensive if you can find one.

Copy - not owned one personally but have not had good reviews as to quality of said item.

Refurb - Al Marshall does a great job and its original. This'd be my choice...

buying new old stock can be risky, the fluid in them still drains away and the damping can be shot. i would definitely opt for a rebuild.

Managed to get hold of Al via Email but sadly he cant do the clocks for the ST as they are a different type or larger or something, so its back to square one again :(
