				Hi
I have problems with my lighting , no dash illumination no rear light,
also the brown white wire for side light ( if EURO ) has no power supply.
I think I have traced it to Tail 1 blue wire on ignition switch.
Could anyone tell me when testing on rear of the ignition switch should the blue connection be battery voltage when switched on.
Any ideas before

with the switch disconnected & switched on you should have continuity between the red & blue. the clock lights & rear lights get their power source from the red wire from the right hand handle bar switch

Does the red wire not get its feed from the blue wire that comes from Tail 1 of the switch ( looks like it joins in the loom.
Or I am reading the diagram like a numpty.

the blue wire from the tail light is the stop light circuit ? the red wire from the light switch joins the blue wire in the harness which feeds the clock illumination bulbs & then goes back to the ignition switch. when you switch on the lights power is transferred from the brown wire in the light switch to the red which should light up you clock lights & tail light. if you have no tail light or clock lights check the brown wire in the switch has power. if it has got power turn the lights on & check power at the red wire from the light switch

Turned out to be the the red wire joint to the blue in the loom had come away.
All I need to sort now is the high low beam switch working the wrong way around. Think the switch internals have been changed .

the usa & european models are wired differently you should be able to see the difference in the switch wiring by looking at the workshop manual wiring diagram for the switch gear & comparing the different switching combinations between the the european & us models
