73 Z1 oil pressure sensor

#1 PostAuthor: Paul Mc » Sun Feb 02, 2014 7:00 am

Hi,
I'm stripping, cleaning and the painting the motor on my 73Z1. I can't find any pictures that show me. But does anybody know if the oil pressure sensor housing on the top crankcase half should be black or alloy colour.
Also the blanking bolt on the clutch side that covers the access where you can screw in an oil pressure gauge, should this be painted black or polished as I've seen both.
Many thanks for any wisdom
Paul Mc

Paul, oil pressure sensor housing is left alloy.
Blanking bolt is left alloy. (polished looks better).
Cam-chain adjustor left alloy.
Sump left alloy.
Cam cover, black with polished ends revealing alloy.
Good luck the hard part is linishing the sides of the fins on the barrels and head
