ring fitting

Just got new set of STD Z1000 rings.
Have checked them and they are sqaure,so im asuming it doesnt mater what way up they go.
keep thoses wheels turning

top & second ring have markings on them top silver colored ring with a letter N stamped on it. second ring has N stamped on it letter's faces up. if it's a three piece oil ring they fit anyway round

Silver ring has no markings.
Dark ring has STD on it

Agree, as always with Z1bman, When there are no markings onnthat top silver ring, I believe it can go either way.
Any markings, such as the "STD", I would have facing the top.
Do check if the second ring has a recess inside or outside.
They did have a design change from 900 rings.
