Does anybody know what battery I can fit to a z1000mk 2 that has a bit less height. the mods I am working on required I moved the battery box up so the battery will now touch the airbox intake pipe.

You need 14 amp for the starter.
The equivalent Motobatts are smaller .
Most of the ebay listings state the L/W/H measurements so should be easy enough to find one that fits.
If you can't find one small enough there's always those Shorai Lithiums which most definitely will fit but you want to be sitting down when you see the price.

Are you sitting down ?

They were £179.40 delivered from Carrot cycles in Lincoln.
Battery was £92.00 + vat etc on it's own.
Lots of different case sizes etc to choose from.

All the ones I have looked at that are lower are also wider so still don't fit the batt box. I have not looked at the "sit down ones" yet

I was in a similar position and found a Motobatt MB10U did the job with the necessary CCA for gpz1100 engine. Well happy in the end. Gives the equiv of 14.5 Ah.

Good luck
