i presume you mean kawasaki pistons ?
Someone who know better than me will be along shortly but i'd play safe and fit kawasaki ones. Not tested for example wiseco rings in std pistons.

I would have thought standard pistons in a 1015 would be rather "slack" ???

not sure if its rings as head is being checked out.just wanted the info just incase.
But engine firm said all the evidence pointed to the head but can't find a fault, but are doing a check for cracks.but if not it must be in the bottom end. And as boars are good it must be rings

zman - Was the engine......
1) Smoking ?
2) loss of power ?
3) Unusual noise ?
4) compression values down?
With the symptoms - it may be easier to analyse for the solution.
