If you didn't drain all the fuel out of the carbs and tank an put fresh in they i'd start there...............

fuel only last a few months b4 it starts to go off, carbs will prob need a full strip and possibly ultrasonically cleaned. have a sniff inside the petrol tank, i bet it smells like vinegar. i always drain the carbs/tank when parking my bikes up over the winter.

You might want to remove your carbs and get them properly cleaned if they've been stood for 3 years with stale petrol in 'em.
Also make sure that you've got a good quality battery which is fully charged as well, either a Varta or Yuasa.
Always fit DENSO plugs as they seem much more reliable the the NGK ones.
If you need to borrow a genuine Kawaaki workshop manual,PM your postal details and I'll get 1 in the post to you Chris :D
