K&N Air box type filter worth fitting?

Thinking of fitting a K&N filter to my GPz1100b1 Air box one as I still have injection,is it worth it? Does it help performance? Much induction noise?
Or just drink more fuel.

I fitted one could not tell :oops: , the standard one is easier to look after too
