(Buying new pistons / rings, but need gauge(s) for bores / ring gaps)

You will need some feeler gauges to check ring gaps.
If fitting new rings the bores will need a light hone.
You will need a bore gauge and external mic for checking piston/bore clearance.
Unless you are planning on doing quite a few more engines the cost of equipment for anything beyond honing and re-ringing will far outweigh the cost of taking the block to be checked at a shop.

That's what I thought, I'll take it to Debbens then.
Just want to get it rebuilt and on the road without
any hassle and unnecessary expense.
