Guys anyone have a good fix solution for my front fork tubes? the bike had been sitting unused for 5 years and the tubes are a little pitted and rusty. I had a price for re chrome and it was nearly £200 urghhhh. New from Zpower £99.
I would like to keep the originals so any advise?

£200 is a lot of money for a re chrome its a no brainer really z power ones are ok but the threaded part where the top nut fits sometimes need a bit of work to get the aluminium nut in

Years ago we would try filling the little pitted areas with araldite but needless to say it never worked!
I honestly think the Z-power replacements are remarkable value considering the prices of other items and are the best long term solution.

£200 is a bit steep for a re-chrome (unless that includes stripping the forks and rebuilding with new seals)
Around £120 is the usual price and that includes any straightening (rolling) if needed.
Try HCP&G at Newark, Nottinghamshire. Your stanctions will come back better than new from there.
