Mixture adjustment.

#1 PostAuthor: nzphil » Sun Dec 01, 2013 8:31 am

My Z1 is running a bit lean on cylinders 3 & 4, i have tried to adjust it using a gunson colour tune but when i turn the air screw in or out it seems to make very little difference, can someone tell me do you turn the screw in or out to make it run less lean (richer).
The engine has been bored out to 1015 & jet sizes are main 113 & pilot 17. Std 4 into 4 pipes & std air filter.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If I cant get it sorted i am thinking about taking it for a dyno tune.

If your screws are making no diff, suspect drawing air in from carb rubber boots as a first port of call!

Thanks, i'll have a look at the carb boots.

Can anyone please confirm if winding the air screw in makes it run richer or leaner :?? .
