Hi Paul

I make the motor to be 85bhp

Front sprocket 15

KZ1000-A1 (KZ1000) (1977)
KZ1000-A2 (KZ1000) (1978)
KZ1000-A2A (KZ1000) (1978)
KZ1000-A3 (KZ1000) (1979)
KZ1000-A3A (KZ1000) (1979)
KZ1000-A4 (KZ1000) (1980)
KZ1000-B1 (KZ1000 LTD) (1977)
KZ1000-B2 (KZ1000 LTD) (1978)
KZ1000-B3 (KZ1000 LTD) (1979)
KZ1000-B4 (LTD) (1980)
KZ1000-C2 (Police 1000) (1979)
KZ1000-C3 (Police 1000) (1980)
KZ1000-C4 (Police 1000) (1981)
KZ1000-D1 (Z1R) (1978)
KZ1000-D3 (Z1R) (1980)

Rear sprocket 33

KZ1000-A1 (KZ1000) (1977)
KZ1000-A2 (KZ1000) (1978)
KZ1000-A2A (KZ1000) (1978)
KZ1000-B1 (KZ1000 LTD) (1977)
KZ1000-B2 (KZ1000 LTD) (1978)
KZ1000-B3 (KZ1000 LTD) (1979)
KZ1000-B4 (LTD) (1980)
KZ1000-D1 (Z1R) (1978)
KZ1000-G1 (Classic) (1980)
KZ650-H1 (CSR) (1981)
KZ650-H2 (CSR) (1982)
KZ650-H3 (CSR) (1983)
KZ700-A1 (1984)
KZ750-E1 (1980)
KZ750-E2 (1981)
KZ750-E3 (1982)
KZ750-L3 (1983)
KZ750-R1 (GPz) (1982)

I thought that although the LTD had the 16" rear wheel the profile of the tyre made it the same overall diameter as an 18" standard wheel (I could be wrong  again   ).

According to Kawasaki.com the speedo from a B3 was also fitted to these models

Model (10):
KZ1000-A3 (KZ1000) (1979)
KZ1000-A3A (KZ1000) (1979)
KZ1000-A4 (KZ1000) (1980)
KZ1000-B1 (KZ1000 LTD) (1977)
KZ1000-B2 (KZ1000 LTD) (1978)
KZ1000-B3 (KZ1000 LTD) (1979)
KZ1000-B4 (LTD) (1980)
KZ900-A4 (1976)
KZ900-A5 (1977)
KZ900-B1 (LTD) (1976)

Hope this helps

I don't think they were restricted. The 80 max [55 mark] were just legislation things.

Hi Paul, is your speedo electronic or cable driven? Mine has the 80mph speedo too. Do you know which model 160mph speedo you replaced yours with?

The speedo would have had 80mph marker but you would have been able to pass this with theneedle. Also LTD's were rated at a couple of bhp higher due to the freer flowing exhausts.
