My z1000 barrels that are bored out to 1197 seems to be throwing oil out from the fins at the front near the exhausts, enough is enough, i have managed to get a standard z1000 set of barrels with standard pistons all in good nick im going to get a new set or rings for the pistons when it lands next week, any one tell me what the comp ratio should be please.
Thanks in advance Ian
Just another quick one

I think they are a bit large, hard to tune down to tick over.

im intrested in the outcome of these barrels,(1197)as bought them as good with pistons and rings,if there fecked ,no wonder it would run badly.

i will let you know mate, cant be anything else its coming from from where the liner would pass close to the wall of the barrels right in where you cant see , but everything else is oil tight.
i will pull the liners out once i have it out.

Hmm I was looking at going 10:25 - 11:1 do you guys think thats too high for pump gas?
I've got a 1200 kit with what I am led to believe are 13:1 pistons.
What size base gasket / spacer should I order from Mr Debben????

Barrels and pistons are here, but have had years of paint on them even RED?
Gave them to my Local blaster to clean up
He's just started up on his own but does a fantastic job, nearly a shame to paint them black.
