US Speedo

Guyz,i have a Us style speedo fitted on my z thou project only goes up to 80mph,what will i need to convert this to a 140 mph z650 type or a 160 mph z9 type,so it will read correctly? probably never go over 80 anyroad!!!!

I may well be wrong but recall all the speedo drives being basically the same....the calibration came from the clocks end.
But as I don't 'KNOW' this I'll happily be corrected by someone who does.....which is usually the case.

Yeah you will need the workings from a speedometer and the face that its max mph represents.
The speedo drives are all the same, i'm pretty sure of this.
The 140mph Z650 speedo will probably be cheaper to pick up than a Z1-1000 item.
Try Al Marshall, he has tonnes of spares.

You got a 1000 then Paul, doesn't Paul trees have a speedo?

No luck with Pb chap,got it off the usual on line auction site,,looking for a decent speedo seems to be a few z650 ones about,should be ok....Cheers Paul(ps get that Mullet trimmed)
