GPZ1100 UT A2 - Crankcase Split

Here's one for you engine gurus.
Just not managing to split and then rejoin a cam chain in situ without creating dead links.
So only option is to buy another cam chain and split the cases to fit it around the crank.
And so to my question. Aside from obvious bottom end gaskets, what is it wise to check out / replace?
Tbh looking for a quick split and re-assembly but if there are some straight forward things to take a look at I will take advice / experience on this.
Any particular oil seals etc or areas of usual wear?
This was GB's old snotter.
The engine mileage is unknown but def has at least 30 k on it and it has taken an age to get the head to a decent point of readiness.
Already fitted wiseco pistons and barrels installed ( which was one efffin pain of a job ) so do you think it is possible to invert engine and lift the crank enough to get chain into place without taking the barrels off again?
