right gents see if you can make sense of this:
Z1000h stock running fine for years, went to start on Saturday would not fire, checked plugs etc fine it then fires and runs fine 5 miles down the road dies, good spark, no fuel, pushed back, tried later running on two, left overnight then nothing. tried all day nothing, left overnight again tried the next day fired up fine ran for a while then died, since then nothing today have:
isolated EVERY wire and checked continuity- fine
tested relay - working
tested injectors (by coil primary's) fine
tested fuel pump - fine
tested fuel pressure - fine
tested ignitor - fine
tested air flow meter - fine
tested tps - fine
the only thing that's coming up wrong is no pulse to the injectors, but whats strange if I connect a test lap from the yellow pulse wire to ground it wants to fire on that cylinder - but not every time
plugs are dry
the only conclusion I can come to is the ecu am right ? but I do have aother ecu and the symptoms are exactly the same on that one , I do not know if that one is good but can both ecu's have the sane problem ??
Help -- the flatslides are on the bench !!

Just for peace of mind whilst going through this i found it helped to cross wire the cut-out on the clutch.
Twin black wires; front of the underside of tank, if they are still connected.
Best of luck, the answer is in there somewhere!

thanks gents for the suggestions , sorry al this one does not have a clutch cut - out.
Any way day two in the z house! went through everything again still the same story so bit the bullet and dissected the ecu, what a crap design for the circuitry to sit in, 33 years in a steel box that sweats and probably freezes, cleaned up the circuit boards and found a dry solder joint suspect, so re solder and reassemble also put some sachets of silica gel in too,
wire everything up and what do ya know she runs !!!
the flatslides are back on the shelf. a complete strip down and re build me thinks, after the z1b, z1300 & Lawson are finished at least I can ride her for now
once again thanks
