Metmachex Swing Arm Help

I have a Metmachex swing arm lounging around in my garage doing not a lot. I bought it for my Z1R but have changed plans and I'm fitting a Dresda unit instead.

While the original arm was off my Z1R yesterday, I offered the Metmachex arm up and found the pivot was about 5mm too narrow to fit the Z1R. I've measured it at 226mm (roughly). There's no marking on the Metmachex arm to indicate what it might fit.

When I bought it, I was told it was for a Z650 / Z900 / Z1000, so assumed (now there's a word at the centre of most *uck-ups) it would fit.

From the photos, its clearly for a twin shock bike, has mounts for the brake torque arm on both the upper and lower side of the RHS, which may indicate its for a bike that has either a drum or disc rear brake. Any ideas?

they usually stamp the model fitment on the swing arm pivot tube

On the Z650 Metmachex, both spindles measure 315mm long from the base of the head to the end of the threads.

The pivot spindle is 16mm and the axle spindle is 17mm, which is 3mm smaller than on the Z900/1000 axle spindle.

I have the spindles in my garage from my Z650 MM arm but not the swingarm itself so I cannot measure the dimensions of that. As said, the model fitment on Metmachex swingers is stamped on the front edge of the swingarm pivot.

Mine says Z650/750.

Is that one gonna be for sale ?

Mine was clearly stamped on a flat area of the pivot tube Z1000, it also had end caps which I had to modify to fit on my Z900.

Hi
Yep its for sale, but it would be nice to be 100% sure what it was made for. On the plus side, a couple of spacers and it could clearly fit the Z1000 / Z1R. PM me if you are interested in purchasing it. It's going on Ebay on Thursday evening if it doesn't sell beforehand.

Yep, the pivot tube is machined so that the caps clip on.....

Possibly a H****...I think they were generally slightly narrower at the pivot point.

Just being very lazy as I can't measure my bike for over a week or so!
With the great wealth of experience on here, can anyone tell me if this would fit a Z1000R 1983 year?

Thanks in advance.

So does anyone know if this will fit on a Z1000R?
Fingers crossed it will!

So can anyone have an informed guess if this would fit?
As you know to get it down here is going to cost a fortune, just want to make sure it will fit, if it needs minor modifications that's fine!
