goddam!now i've snapped a bolt in the cam holders!!
got the head on,exhaust, the very last bolt on the no 4 cam cap, snap!took the cap off, snapped down at the bottom, drilled a hole in it to try and get it out,it aint happening.helicoil?easy out?was wanting to fire it up but with 3 bolts in i guess thats being stoopid
Manuals got it wrong i found to my cost also
The correct figure is calculated to be; 104 inch pounds which is equivalent to 8.666 rec. ft-lbs. 12 foot pounds will absolutely snap bolts or strip threads as well as overloading the caps. Need to use a low range torque wrench for this and preferably one with an external indicator. Looks like degrees but in inch pounds or foot pounds.
