No Spark quandary !!!!

I've posted before, but the feckin gremlin wont go away   : any advice chaps ??
Ive an A4 which runs fine except for an annoying intermittent misfire on cylinder no 3, which is down to there being no spark. Oddly if I put new plugs in she would fire up - but from eperience in a couple of weeks I will be back to having a Z900 triple !.

Today I changed my coil, with new HT leads and caps: and as usual no 3 refused to fire up - again there was no spark: so I tried a shiny new plug to number 3: no better: so, I fitted yet another NGK plug and got a spark and the bike is now running spot on.

I don't know what to do next, and can't think what can be causing the isolated probs to No 3 electrics. Is it possible I got a duff set of NGKB8ES plugs ? has anybody else had issues ??
Would Iridium plugs make any bleedin difference ??

Cheers Tim

highly unlikely to be the coil as they work in pairs. if you purchased the plugs from e bay + they where cheap they could be copies. try another make like denso + buy them from a retailer not from the internet. is the plug fouled when you remove it ? make sure you have battery voltage at the coils

have you swapped HT leads round Tim?
it will at least eliminate a dodgy lead

I never thought of swapping the HT leads around !
The coil removal was solely to get shot of the HT lead (which I thought was probably the culprit) and was bonded in and could not easily be removed.

Imagine my pleasure after fitting the new coil, leads and caps to find I still wasn't getting a spark. Anyway I raided a new plug from my Kettle resto, and I have a spark. Took her out this afternoon for a 30 mile blast, and she ran perfectly. Will defo be buying some new quality plugs.

See what happens tomorrow :?? :?? Cheers Tim
