Harris Magnum 2 rear sub-frame

#1 PostAuthor: martinz1000r » Tue Aug 27, 2013 4:30 pm

Can anyone that has an un-molested Harris post up a few pictures of what the rear subframe and fittings should look like?

I just tried to fit the standard bodywork to mine and it dont fit. I suspect that some form of surgery has taken place to accommodate the ghastly race seat it currently sports.

perfect! Yes mine has been bent upwards and some new brackets welded on to give a mounting for a battery box and the new seat. Out with the angle grinder I guess!

Where does the battery go btw?

Nice trio you have there Martin are you sure your frame is not a mag 1. Just asking as that was angled up higher at the back.

Here are a couple taken of the rear battery compartment. One with the cover on and one off. Let me know if you need any further information.

Martin's looks like its got a mag2 tank and without looking closely at the headstock its difficult to tell Mag1 or 2.

There are some pictures of Mag one frames bare in a couple of my project threads, but Martin if you need some I could get some for you.

Hiya, what is the rear suspension like with the
shock absorber positioned like that, compared to the ride on a
'conventional' ride?

Mine arrived from Harris like this; two threaded Bungs in the end of the Tubes, no other bracktes welded on:

Harris supplied this battery box too but I had to butcher it to fit:
