Tacho Gear Blank & a Plug size

#1 PostAuthor: HowieD » Thu Aug 15, 2013 4:18 pm

Greetings,

These two things are about all that's left and I think I had the answers once but the Great Board melt down and my memory failing mean I can't find the info !!

I've search on here and cant find any references anymore. I'm sure I posted and received replies......

so here goes:

1/. Anyone done or seen a cover for the Rev Counter Drive - i have an old Cable with the "outer" cut off and sealed but it doesn't look right really. A cheeky little machined up thing would look better I think.

2/. there's a plug at the rear of the Oil Transfer thing from the Pump/top of the gear box to the oil gallery at the back of the block - some one posted the thread size & pitch M20 or M14 ??

Ta muchly

Any ideas where I can get these from ?? Been scowering the www for seems like an age looking for these things - a cap to seal off a redundant fuel Tap hole and a replacement for the original tank holder.

I need one with an M16 x 1 female thread. Loads of imperial size ones around but metric ..............

The cap looks like a copper blank plug, a good plumbers merchant does them in 6mm 8mm 10mm 15mm and up to 22mm.

I did this, just put a ball bearing in and screwed the cover on.

Not fantastic, but I'm sure there'll be worse ideas.
What we got here, is failure to comunicate.
