The speedo on the Z900A4 has stopped working. The cable appears to be ok but when disconnected from the speedo does not turn when the bike is pushed forward but when pushed backwards the cable rotates.Would the problem be the speedo drive at the wheel as I suspect?

or it could be a broken cable grabing one way and slipping the other, take the inner out altogether to make sure.
