hi all, hope somebody could give me an answer to my query, what cylinder head will fit or is the same one off a different model, mine is a 78 z1000a2, a previous owner managed to crack it, looks like its been welded/ liquid metal repair, seems to be a very slight weep,nowt major yet besause i havent been on the road with it yet

Pretty sure the Z900 z1000 & MkII are a straight swap.

Not sure about the Z1b and previous as they might have different rubber seals around the camchain.

But you can make them fit....you can even make the GPz11 head fot if you want a bit of performance.

Any head from the first Z1 up to the z1r and mk2/ST will bolt straight on.
Later J/GPZ heads will fit with idler conversion.

Z1 to Z1R should fit

get your old head properly welded by a reputable person. cheaper than a new head and hard to see the repair
