I have a set of Mikuni 26mm carbs.... Painted Black on the bodies.
I have stripped them down. What is the best method or solution to remove this black paint from the main bodies.

soak them in a bath of gun wash thinners but make sure you remove any rubber components

Thanks Z1bman, I was a bit unsure whether to use paint stripper on die-cast parts.

Guess I should have asked.... What is gun-wash thinners?
Tried lacquer thinner, enamel thinners and acetone. Had to resort to "Shelley's Quik-Strip".... Did the job... what a messy job!

Gun wash is cheap thinners, used for washing spray guns etc, not the more expensive thinners used for ...... er, thinning paint.
