DYNA 2000 best pre-set

Anyone using DYNA 2000 and using the pre-set ignition advance maps care to share which is they're favorite.
Logic dictates; 'number 5' for mine being high comp / 2 valve per cylinder.
Anyone had any success using number 4 where the advance is 'all in' earlier??

Cannot help but, apparently they need to be properly rubber mounted otherwise they die form vibration.

Been running a 2000 on my Z1000 for last 6 yrs - as you say Al, go for recommended one fo 2 valves.
I tried the setting with "slowest advance curve" as my bike pinks - but makes sod all difference

Taffus: as always full of useful information , of course none of it relevant
Phil; very valid and its something i missed as i was in such a hurry to get it done.
The module has three foot of lead on it so may keep t in my pocket
Piggy; number 5 has the slowest onset of full advance but if running sunoco i may back it down to number 4 as this is quicker to reach full advance.

Zorded, can't help with Dyna2000 settings, however, regarding mounting of module.... A friend of mine mounted the module on the rear plastic inner guard... No drilling! He just mounted it using a "velcro" stick-on pac. A very neat solution.

Thanks Garn thats where mine ended up but on a (rigid) foam pad with two cable ties round it drilled through the fibreglass rear section of the guard.
I will need to get something softer for it to sit on and something more flexible (give) than the cable ties because just now its pretty much solid mounted.

#4 advance curve works best on mine on the track.
#5 says its' right but whilst youre waiting for full advance to come on it lags and wont pull.
Found this out today.

I will have a look at mine when I get home, but do not mount the unit wrap it in thick foam and loosely cable tie it to frame where the air box used to go just enough to stop it falling off.
