20 Amp fuses

Has anyone else experienced the 20 amp fuse going high resistance?

I ordered a new fuse assy from z power because the old on was melted due to high resistance fuse overheating and also causing intermittent misfire (low volts at the coils).

After fitting the new assy the bike was dead. Stuck the meter across the fuse, low and behold it reads 38 ohms!

I've had glass fuses that look ok, but the fuse wire had detached from the end cap, so I'm not surprised you've had one with a high resistance.

I replaced my 20amp fuse with a 20amp mcb.The type they use for these big in car sound systems.
never had a problem since. And if you break down in the middle of nowhere,at least you won't run out of fuses looking for the problem
