Speedometer and tachometer

#1 PostAuthor: alinus65 » Sat Jun 08, 2013 7:28 pm

Hi,
The needle of my speedometer is fluctuation a lot above 80 kmh.
The needle of my rev counter is fine up to 4000. After that is not moving smoothly. I understood it is a common problem. As far as I know the instruments are originals.

I have no experience. What should I check by myself without making any damage. Otherwise I'll leave them like for time being. Maybe next winter ill send them out for restoring if I find somebody good here in Italy.

ALL IN ALL VERY HAPPY ABOUT MY Z1B

Assuming there is nothing wrong with the cables themselves then there isn't much you can do yourself to repair. Al Marshall on this forum restores these and takes care of damping issues too, drop him a PM.

Regards,
Mike

I am checking cables.
Otherwise I'll contact Al during winter time.
