z1r race bike

Hi ,im building a z1r race bike to compete in crmc next season and need to know where to brace the frame and put the forward mounted shocks on the frame.It will be as near as poss to wayne gardners moriwaki,im struggling to say the least,has anyone got any ideas,apart from me going to the museum in japan and dismantleing the gardner bike !

Brace your Z1R frame

Grahamm,

There is a specially made frame brace kit available from Z Power which is shown on their web site.

I have seen one fitted and the frame re-coated and it looks great--in fact you wouldn't notice it if you weren't in the know of what an original frame looks like.

Do you really need one?

If you do then Z Power are your guys.

You may do worse than check out the race and race replica bikes that are due to appear on the club stand, along with their builders/Owners at Stafford classic show in October.

I'd love to see the bikes on the z stand this year at staffy but am away on hols for 2 weeks unfortunately,i did hear that gordon pantalls moriwaki may be their too,sods law aint it.i did contact classic bike and they passed my details on to him but ive had no contact yet.thanks for the help so far though,
