Can someone please tell me how the clutch starter switch is secured in the clutch housing ? is it just bonded ?

they have a plastic barb on them which springs out slightly when the switch is pushed into the clutch lever mounting. quite common for the plastic to go brittle + the barb to beak of + loses its tension to hold into the mounting

if the plastic barbs / prongs have not broken of just warm the switch with a heat gun or hair dryer + gently prise the barbs / prongs out a little bit with a small screwdriver .you can see the barbs/ prongs just below the plunger on this photo

No barbs on mine :( and there was a new one on ebay the other day bugger :evil:
