quick question

#1 PostAuthor: captaincaveman » Tue Mar 26, 2013 8:17 am

Just a quick wiring question, if youve got more than one headlight, are they wired in series or parallel?, Does that go for all three circuits?(side, dip, mainbeam circuits)

Cheers
Jay

Parallel (assuming they're 12V and you have a 12V battery).

Parallel to ensure that a bulb failier on one headlight doesn't break the circuit to the other .
Also a good idea to run relays for the main and dip unless the handlebar switch was designed to carry the increased wattage.

Thanks guy, its on my mates daytona thing(best describes it), trying to minimise the wiring coming out of the unit, so i can sort all the parallel connections inside the light unit and just bring single wires out to the loom?, already got relays fitted for existing mods

Its such an odd bike, i'll get pics when its completed :D
