removing drive coupling on an ST

#1 PostAuthor: stevie g » Sun Mar 24, 2013 7:41 pm

Hi Guys, OK I got an ST1000 engine I'm gonna be changing to chain drive but cannot get the drive coupling off. I've removed the secondary gearbox but the other part of the coupling won't budge. Is it a normal thread ? as in anti-clockwise to loosen ? I've gripped the coupling with a mole grip and tried turning the 19mm nut with a socket and T-bar but it won't budge. Am I turning it the correct way ? or do i just need to eat more porridge in the morning to get more muscle ? thanks $tevie.
