z1000 ltd seat dimensions

#1 PostAuthor: stevie g » Thu Mar 14, 2013 2:42 pm

Hi guys, I'm in the process of fitting a z900/1000 tailpiece to my csr 1000 but the seat will not close because the back of the seat is straight across and does not compensate for the rounded angle of the tailpiece. Does anyone know if a Z/KZ 1000 ltd seat will go straight on my bike ? If not I suppose I'll have to flatten the back of my own. Not sure but i think I've only ever seen the KZ ltd with the tailpiece and not the UK ltd . Any suggestions guys ? thanks, $tevie

I just bought a 1978 kZ1000 LTD B2 and it has it's original seat with the standard Z1 - z900/z1000 type of tail piece, so I hope that answers your question...can send a pic of the seat up if you like...
