 Today I cycled around 12 miles to fix my rear brake on the kz700 as it didn't work when got the bike.Started with usual check, brake fluid,pads..all fine.Thought I will bleed it..done it and rear brake fine.Took off speedo to see what's in and under, took off seat and tail piece to see how would it look like without, then after a few pics put everithing back on bike except speedo as is fecked..Start the bike to test rear brake and no lights  Not even brake light.Indicators all work.Anyway..we went out for a quick spin with my mate as he manged to start his WR250 and said for a few seconds my light worked.
What did I do wrong? Why is not working? Why does it always happens with me???? :splat :splat :splat

loose connection pulled apart when you replaced the seat?
Fuse?
does it have self cancelling indicators/daytime running lights? So conceivably not having the speedo fitted will disrupt the circuits

Daytime running lights, yes as it's a US import and yes speedo is off..Fuses were fine..So if I put the speedo back all should be fine?!
