As per title... Can it be done?
I want to tidy up my frame a bit but unsure if it'll still be possible to coat it.

No, bare metal only unless you can do repairs with braze and then linish to the required finished.As an alternative you could do some repairs with filler and then get the frame wet sprayed.

Not what I wanted to hear, but I thought as much. Thanks.
