Tacho cable.... How long?

Evening gent's, 
Could any of you tell me how long the tacho cable outer cover should be on a Z1000A2? I cant see why it would be any different on Z1's & 900's either.
The one I have that I think was fitted to the bike (could have come from a ZX7R or Unitrak
) Measures 580mm inc the swaged ends (but not the nuts).
Just want to be sure the one I have is wrong before I order another. Annoying thing is I have parts in transit from both Z-Power & Z-Fever & could have easily added this to either order had I known.
