electronic ignition

Hi Guy's The motor on my Z 1 engine is running quite good, But when in traffic at about 35 to 40 mph in top, And low down revs in most gears, it hesitates every so often,

The plug's are correct 7s I think, tried an 8, A bit to cold, So sutting up, Alot better with the 7s, The timing is spot on, The carb's balanced to perfection, mixture right on the button, plug's a nice shade of brown,

After saying all that, As soon as I open it up it's off like a train and smooth as silk and very sweet,

My last port of call is, Electronic ignition, Becaus I think it could be some thing to do with the Advance & retard weight's, Can some one tell me the best electonic ignition system to go for, And, Will it come with avance/retard mechanism,

Many thanks,

Sussextrotter,

Pointless is best! Boyer do away with advance mech, but a bit fiddly & not very robust.

Dyna S, good bit of kit (favourite replacement unit) but keeps advance mech! I have a spare Dyna S for sale, only done a few hundred miles if ur interested PM me

Dyna 2000, TOP DOG, does away with advance mech, but costs a lot!
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
