I am rebuilding my Z900 engine and have got stuck on the starter/rotor assembly. I sent the crank off the chris applebee for rebuilding and I can't work out whether I am missing a part or not. I've fitted 1) the funny washer with the chamfer that goes on the end of the crank, 2) the needle roller bearing, 3) the starter gear and damper rubber, so far so good. The damper rubber thickness is OK as per the manual. BUT when I come to fit the rotor/starter clutch assembly, is there a washer that goes between that and the starter gear? It looks like there is such a washer on the parts fiche but I can't work out what the part number is. Can anyone help?

Agree that part is hard to find, even in the part book also!
There is another phosphor bronze washer, other than the "funny" chamfer against the crank. They are both nominated as 22mm with this second one being a plain washer. It fits in a recess at the back of the rotor.

The illustration is such that it is hard to discern which patt # is one and which is the other..... The two washers I make out to be...
Patt #'s..... 92026-091 (washer thrust) and
92026-092 (washer plain) *** The one you are after!

BTW, you may find that that rubber edge damper washer may tend to lock things up a bit when all is tightened up. These dampers come in three different thickness and suffice to say, their only function is to put drag on large gear wheel to stop it rattling.
