Rim and tyre questions

#1 PostAuthor: octanejunkie » Mon Dec 10, 2012 8:57 pm

My bike has had some Lester wheels fitted to it at some point. I gather these are an aftermarket item available at the time, and sized differently from the stock spoke/mag wheels.
The rear wheel is stamped as being 2.5" wide, and the front at 2.15" wide.
The wheels are in really good condition, and with a clean will come up like new so i'll be keeping them.
I have posted a couple of pics. Can anyone shed any light on how old they might be or their rarity?
Finally, the wheels currently have Avon Roadrider tyres fitted to them. Both in good nick with plenty of meat on them. Thing is, they look a bit skinny, even for an old machine like the Z. The rear has a 110/90/18 fitted, and the front has a 90/90/19 fitted. Is this ok? Not really ridden the bike much, so can't really comment on how it feels.
