Earlier Z wheel in later Z forks?

Will early front wheels with 4 mounting hole discs fit later GPZ type forks? Anyone tried this ?

If it works I will be in the market for a wheel and discs :D

no the early type wheels have 6203 wheel bearings + gpz have 6302 bearings which are 2mm bigger outside measurement + have a bigger wheel spindle

Thanks for that. I guess I would be able to make up some bushes of fit different bearings :D

the easiest way would be to get your original wheel spindle machined down to 15mm which is the size of the internal diameter of the older type wheel bearings .i think the z1100 spindle is 17mm in diameter
