Z1000A2 Front Caliper Piston Diameter?

Evening Chap's,

Just tried to re-build my front calipers with new pistons & seals & what has been supplied are 43mm pistons. What came out of the calipers fitted were 38mm pistons.
Am I right in thinking that the 43mm pistons are for the later 'J' model & that my Z1000A2 calipers should be fitted with 38mm pistons, or has my bike got the wrong calipers fitted? :??
