Hello gents does anyone on here know if its possible to change the oil level sight glass on a gpz1100 clutch casing or does the entire casing have to be replaced.many thanks in advance

John, The glass is available still, should cost you around £12-15 depending where you shop.
It's just a push fit, like an oil seal.

Thanks for the info do you have to prise the old one off from the front it doesn't look like you can get anything in from the back because of the way its cast.

I've always used a socket of the right diameter to 'drift' them out. From memory, I think iv'e pushed em out from the inside, I don't think it makes a difference, I'm sure someone will be along soon to add to this!

There is a rib behind the glass. Age makes them stiff so best to remove the casing and push it out.

Simply push the new one in with a little oil as a lubricant.

got the casing off and you cant push it out because of the way the casing is cast is it ok to break the glass and prise it out from the front without damaging anything.
